| Our friend Ignacio has completed his chemo and radiation treatment for stage 4 throat cancer. Always a fighter on and off the chess board, Ignacio is determined to beat the cancer and continues to study and practice chess every day in hopes of returning to the chess board soon. He's been hit hard by COVID and is currently unemployed. Any help the chess community can provide is greatly appreciated. PNWCC is organizing this 12-round, 3+2 thematic blitz tournament on behalf of Ignacio in one of his favorite openings, the Sicilian Defense.
Entry is free and donations are welcomed! PNWCC will match every dollar of donation up to total $3,000 to Ignacio.
