Fair Play Rules |

By registering for a PNWCC chess event, players agree to follow the fair play agreement terms in accordance with maintaining the highest possible standards of ethics and fair play during my online chess games.
- I promise to follow the US Chess rules while playing my games (no communication with other players, etc)
- I promise to not use a cell phone, chess engine, or seek any kind of outside assistance during my games.
- I promise to follow the enhanced fair play rules in PNWCC online tournament.
- I will use the program ZOOM in order to be monitored via webcam.
- I understand that my games may be checked by Chess.com and lichess.orgβs Fair Play team for signs of fair play violations.
- The games of all prize winners will be certified by PNWCC's Fair Play Committee and/or Chess.com's Fair Play Review Team.
- PNWCC has the sole right to interpret the results of the online tournament games.
- If my online account(s) get closed due to fair-play violations, I will have to return all the prize money I earned from PNWCC events, regardless if I violated the fair-play rules in the PNWCC events or not. If I do not return the prize money, PNWCC can publicly announce that my account gets closed for fair-play violation.
Players who break the agreement will face forfeiture of their games, expulsion from the tournament, and sanctions by PNWCC, chess.com, lichess.org, and US Chess. |

This tournament features
1. No severely FIDE-under rated players - general rule is player's Dec 2023 FIDE rating should not be more than 100 points lower than their national rating, except for players holding PNWCC wildcards (up to 4)
2. No players with Under FIDE 2000 rating, except for players holding PNWCC wildcards (up to 4)
3. Meet FIDE GM/IM title regulations - 1.56
1.5.6 Any title application containing at least one norm achieved after 30/06/2022 must include at least one norm from one of the following:
An individual Swiss tournament with every round containing at least forty participants whose average rating is at least 2000. For this purpose, players will be counted only if they miss at most one round (excluding pairing allocated byes)
4. "Super Swiss" - FIDE GM/IM title regulations - 1.43 d
Swiss System tournaments in which participants include in every round at least 20 FIDE rated players, not from the host federation, from at least 3 different federations, at least 10 of whom hold GM, IM, WGM or WIM titles.For this purpose, players will be counted only if they miss at most one round (excluding pairing allocated byes). Otherwise, 1.4.4 applies.

Free Entries for following players
- First 10 foreign players with FIDE 2300+ and their national rating is less than 100 points higher than their FIDE ratings and register before Oct 15,2023
- First 5 US players with FIDE 2400+ and their national rating is less than 100 points higher than their FIDE ratings and register before Oct 15,2023
- Foreign players with December 2023 FIDE ratings 2200+ and 100+ points higher than their national rating (post event or published USCF/CFC ratings)
- US players with December 2023 FIDE ratings 2200+ and 150+ points higher than their national rating (post event or published USCF/CFC ratings)
- Fair Rated GM/WGM (National rating is less than 75 points higher than their FIDE ratings on Dec 1st, 2023)
- Restrictions
- To qualify for free entries (100% refund of entry fee), players must register and pay before Oct 15th, 2023
- All free entries must pay normal entry fee first - will get 100% refund (so it's free!) if play all 9-games without any rule violation
- PNWCC reserve the right to refuse to refund the entry fee if PNWCC determine you manipulate your FIDE/National ratings to get free entry

- Players' FIDE rating can not be more than 100 points lower than their national rating at registration
- 2300+ $750 WA Players
- 2300+ Out-Of-State Players $100 discount if play all 9 games - request for refund after tournament
- FIDE 2200 - 6 seats - $900
- FIDE 2100 - 4 seats- $1200
- FIDE 2000 - 2 Seats - $1500
- PNWCC Wildcards - $1800 4 seats only pending PNWCC approval - email PNWChessCenter@gmail.com
- Entry fee goes up $50 every 30 days before the tournament starts
