📖 15. How to use discount policy seat limits

What discount policy seat limits do

A membership discount policy can have a Usage Limit. This limits how many non-withdrawn registrations can use that specific discount policy for an event.

Create or edit a discount policy
  1. Open the Organizer Portal.
  2. Open the event.
  3. Click Member Discount.
  4. Create a new policy or edit an existing one.
  5. Select the membership type, discount percentage, visibility, and Usage Limit.
Usage Limit rules
  • 0 means unlimited use.
  • A positive number means only that many active registrations can use the policy.
  • Withdrawn registrations do not count against the limit.
  • The discount policy list shows usage as used / limit and remaining seats.
How NACH picks a discount
  • The player must have an active membership that matches the policy.
  • The membership must remain active through the event end date.
  • If multiple policies match the player, NACH uses the highest discount percentage that still has usage available.
  • Visible to players? controls whether the policy is advertised to players. It does not by itself make a player eligible or ineligible.
Example

You can create a 20% member discount with a Usage Limit of 10. The first 10 eligible non-withdrawn registrations can receive that discount. After the 10 seats are used, eligible players will either receive another matching discount policy with available seats or no membership discount.

Tips
  • Use a low limit for early-bird member benefits or a sponsor-funded discount pool.
  • Use 0 when every eligible member should receive the discount.
  • Review the Member Discount page before registration opens to confirm the remaining count.
