Women & girls event. Unrated blitz tournament and a puzzle-solving contest. The 3rd out of 6 events of Boston Queens Series. 2:30 pm puzzle-solving contest 3:00 pm FREE pizza dinner 3:30 blitz 6 double rounds Swiss, G/3+2', accelerated Prizes information: $100 - $75 Top under 1500: $50* Top under 1000: $25* *Prizes in U1500 and U1000 categories are awarded by the higher of the current regular or blitz rating. We also use the higher of the two ratings for pairings.ο»Ώ Medals for the top 3 girls 11 years old and younger (U12)** Medal and book prize for the top unrated player Chess accessories for the first 15 to register Book prizes for the top 3 puzzle-solvers $50 gift certificate from RelaxStation Nails & Massage Salon to the top upset **Parents of girls under 12, please, let us know your child/children's DOB, so we know they qualify. Places 1st - 10th earn series points: 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2ndβ¦1 point for 10th. Same amount of points for blitz and rapid. Series standings here. Grand Prix prizes: $300-$200-$100 + trophies 3 grand prix trophies for girls U12 (11 y.o. or younger) who score the most points throughout the series** Entry fee $20 (for tournament) Free entry for GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs, and unrated players (by unrated, we mean players that have none of the following: USCF regular/rapid/blitz rating, FIDE regular/rapid/blitz rating) Puzzle-solving contest is free Chess sets and clocks are provided. The tournament being unrated, we will soften the rules a little bit: if you make an illegal move it doesnβt lose on the spot, instead, the TD will add 1 minute to your opponent. The second illegal move in the same game would result in a forfeit. MACA and USCF memberships are not required.
