The Massachusetts Chess Association (Mass Chess, aka MACA), an educational non-profit organization, actively supports and advocates for chess programs in schools and communities statewide. Mass Chess also runs annual tournaments including the Mass. Open (State Championship), scholastic individual and team championships, and many more. Mass Chess is the official state affiliate of the U.S. Chess Federation (USCF).
