Unrated blitz tournament for all women & girls. Sponsored by USChess! Update on PRIZES Chess.com donates memberships to MACA & the Queens Blitz Series! In addition to cash prizes, free 1-month memberships are awarded to Top 3 (1st place gets a 3-month membership!) + Top U1700 + Top U1200 6 double rounds Swiss, G/3+2' 3:30 - 4:00 puzzle-solving contest Trick-or-treat prizes for players and solvers in costume! Prize Information: Places 1 - 10 earn series points: 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2nd… 1 point for 10th. Prizes for the top 3 scoring the most points throughout all 6 events are $300-$200-$100. $15 entry fee for blitz Puzzle-solving contest is free Free entry for GMs, IMs, WGMs, and WIMs. If you have less than 50 rated games you can also register for free - please, contact Kateryna at katerynaodnorozhenko@yahoo.com Chess sets and clocks are provided. MACA and USCF memberships are not required. However, the two organizations sponsor and fund the event, and your membership would help them provide more programs like this in the future. The tournament being unrated, we will soften the rules a little bit: if you make an illegal move it doesn’t lose on the spot, instead, the TD will add 1 minute to your opponent.
