The SJCC 2021 Spring Marathon is a multi-week tournament. The tournament will have 1 game per week. Pairings will be published at 5pm pst on each Monday, and games will have to be done by the following Monday by 3pm PST. Players must schedule a game with their opponents and play the game by 3pm PST on Monday. You will have to converse with your opponent through chess.com or through email.
All games must be played on chess.com. All players must join this chess.com club to play : https://www.chess.com/club/san-jose-chess-club-uscf-rated
You may withdraw for any round. Maximum amount of ½ point byes are 2 and must notify the TD (Abhinav Penagalapati), (Pranav Sairam) or email at least 24 hours before the rounds. Byes for round 5 & 6 must be notified before round 3

All players must abide by the USCF code of ethics (As this is a USCF rated tournament) and chess.com’s fair play policy. Any players confirmed to be using outside assistance may result in a USCF ethics complaint which could lead to possible suspension of the USCF membership.
