Event Description
In this camp by GM Boris Gelfand, we'll focus on the Slav 4.e3 system. This opening leads to a complicated strategical game. with a lot of finesses and a flexible pawn structure. GM Gelfand played dozens of games with both colors against highest level opponents like Carlsen, Anand and Kramnik and will share his knowledge. A repertoire will be made for both colors. Homework will be assigned and blitz tournaments will be arranged to practice the opening. Target for US Masters (USCF 2200+) players. Camp up & spectators options available. Misc Info: 4 lectures from 09:30 AM - 12:45 PM PST (3 hours with 15-min break) on Saturday and Sunday. Total 12 hours. Entry Fee - $550 for Master + players; $595 for U2200 players; U2200 Spectators - $400. Peak rating allowed for qualification. 10% discount for NACH Gold Members.
